The microscopy facility at the MPIDS is part of the LFPB department. The selection of microscopes includes confocal laser scanning and spinning disk microscopes, upright and inverted fluorescence and TIRF microscopy set-ups (mostly Olympus and Leica). Several of the microscopes are equipped with programmable motorised stages and auxiliary devices. This selections is complemented by some more specialised devices for dynamic light scattering and interferometer measurements.

I maintain/equip and if necessary program the microscopes and teach every new interested user how to use them. Members of our institute are free to contact me in case they'd like to use one of our microscopes. Interested external users will have to contact Eberhard Bodenschatz first.
