Hyejeong Kim, Ph. D

azam Dr. Hyejeong Kim is a Postdoc at the Department of Prof. Eberhard Bodenschatz interested in biofluidics and biomimetics in hydrodynamic point of view. During the doctoral course, she studied plant hydrodynamics and its biomimetic technologies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). She received her PhD degree in Aug. 2017 with thesis of "Development of Advanced Biomimetic Technologies Inspired by Leaf Transpiration." From Aug. 2017 to May. 2018 she was a postdoctoral research at POSTECH, and developed efficient water management technologies. She then joined MPIDS as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2018. She is interested in broad range of experimental approaches to microfluidics, soft materials, and their applications.
