About the Meeting

From June 24 - 28, 2019 we will be hosting the summer school "Small-scale turbulence in clouds" at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organzation in Göttingen, Germany. The school's aim is to present the latest and most exciting developments in the field while also strengthening the Early Stage Researchers' (ESRs) background knowledge. The ESRs will give updates on their progress and will attend talks from scientific experts. The school begins on June 24, 9:00 and runs till June 28, 13:00.

This summer school is part of the EU H2020 project COMPLETE.

Main Topics

Eddy structures and intermittency in fine-scale turbulence.
Strongly anisotropic turbulence structure and cascade: stably stratified and rotating flows.
Correlation between small-scale velocity, temperature, vapour and liquid water concentration fluctuations.
Physical models for small-scale structures.
Active versus passive scalar turbulence.
And more...
