Freja Nordsiek

Nordsiek

Dr. Freja Nordsiek studied Physics and received her BS at Michigan Technological University (USA) in 2010, where she worked on the clustering of electrically charged, gravitationally settling, inertial particles in turbulence. In 2015 she received her PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland College Park (USA), where she experimentally investigated Rayleigh-stable Taylor-Couette flow and granular electrification. She joined the institute in December 2015 as a postdoctoral researcher, where her research is focused on the properties of high Reynolds number turbulence.
