Yong Wang
Dr. Yong Wang studied mechanical engineering and applied mathematics at Xi'an
Jiaotong University (China) and, in 2010, received his PhD degree in engineering
thermal physics for his development of a lattice Boltzmann method as applied to
thermo acoustics and PIV measurements for oscillatory flows. From 2011-15 he was
a postdoctoral researcher at UC Irvine (USA), and investigated the turbulent flow in
human upper airway with DNS. He then joined the institute as a research scientist in
March 2015. His research interests are in biofluidics with patient specific geometry,
such as blood flow in beating heart and CSF flow in the ventricles of the brain.
